Registration for preschool and youth swim lessons opens September 13

September 6, 2024 – News

Juneau Pools will offer a new session of beginner and intermediate swim lessons for both preschool and youth age groups at Dimond Park Aquatic Center in September and October. Registration opens Friday, September 13 at noon through the Parks & Rec registration catalog (click on the “Juneau Pools” tab). Registrations will not be taken over the phone, in person, or in advance.

Please be aware that swimmers must meet the registration prerequisites to register for any classes beyond Level 1. Classes will meet Tuesdays and Thursday from September 24 through October 17. Class time slots are scheduled between 3:30 and 7 p.m. and are 30 minutes long. See the registration portal for a detailed class schedule.

This session offers Levels 1-3 for preschoolers and Levels 1-4 for youth. Preschool classes are open to children ages 3-5 and youth classes to ages 6-12. Visit juneaupools.org for detailed info about skill levels.

Classes cost $80 (+ tax) for 8 lessons. Scholarships are available; complete the online form by September 10 at noon to apply. If you have questions about scholarships, contact Recreation Coordinator Amanda Lovejoy at (907) 586-2635 ext. 4156 or amanda.lovejoy@juneau.gov.
