Zalando partners with local courier Zásilkovna, responds to Czech preferences and elevates customer convenience

BERLIN, NOVEMBER 16, 2021 // Zalando, Europe’s leading online platform for fashion and lifestyle, broadens the convenience of its offer for Czech customers through a new partnership with the local logistics and technology company Zásilkovna. The new delivery partner allows Zalando to accommodate Czech delivery preferences by offering more options for deliveries and returns through a network of pick-up points and lockers. According to local e-commerce research, in the last three years, the share of Czechs who most frequently received their purchases through pick-up points or parcel lockers shifted from 19% to 27%, and from 0% to 6%, respectively1.

When ordering on Zalando, customers from the Czech Republic will now benefit from Zásilkovna’s delivery network, which includes 1,500 lockers and 4,700 pick-up points. These locations can also be used for returns. In addition to adding pick-up points and parcel lockers to the mix, Zásilkovna will also expand Zalando’s courier service for home deliveries. Furthermore, catering to the Czechs’ long-standing payment preferences, Zalando will include a cash-on-delivery option for Zásilkovna deliveries, including those carried out through pick-up point and locker services, this option is currently also available for deliveries carried out through Zalando’s other Czech partner PPL.
