SIIM announces the launch of the 2022 West African mango campaign on 5 April, with the first deliveries due to arrive in Europe from week 16 onwards

Lancement campagne mangues Afrique de l'Ouest 2022

SIIM, the first exporter of West African mangoes from the four producing countries (Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Mali and Senegal), today announces that the official opening of the 2022 campaign has been set for 5 April in Côte d’Ivoire.

The first air deliveries of ‘Kent’ mangoes packaged under the Dibra brand are expected to arrive on 6-7 April, while the first ship will enter the port of Antwerp on 19 April in order to supply the whole of Europe. During this campaign running until mid-August, West Africa will become the leading supplier of mangoes to European countries.

Weather conditions were excellent this year and have encouraged abundant and consistent flowering that augurs well for the 2022 season.

Much appreciated by European consumers, the West African mango is recognised for its rich colours and exquisite taste. It is a juicy, non-fibrous fruit with a deliciously sweet flavour and succulent texture.

In addition to its traditional ranges and packaging certified Global G.A.P, Rainforest Alliance and BSCI, SIIM announces the development of its Organic and Organic Fairtrade mango offering for this 2022 campaign.
