Members of National Grid’s Veterans Employee Resource Group recently presented a $4,000 donation to Feed Our Vets, a Mohawk Valley-based nonprofit that combats food insecurity among military veterans. The donation represented proceeds from the sale of camouflage hardhats sold to employees in the company’s Central New York region over the past year.

Feed Our Vets, headquartered in New York Mills, is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that has provided free food assistance to more than 31,300 veterans and their family members since its founding in 2009.

National Grid’s Veterans Employee Resource Group fosters an inclusive environment that promotes personal and professional development opportunities for military veterans at National Grid. Joseph Ancona, Feed Our Vets Pantry Director (pictured second from left), was joined at the check presentation by National Grid employees (from left) Jason Uhlig, Kyle Metzler and Steven Spaeth. All four are U.S. Army veterans.
