"MMK is a fusion of glorious historical traditions and industrial leadership. Our HR strategy has always been based on attention to people and their needs in all areas of life and work," said Oleg Kiykov, MMK's Director of Human Resources. ”We are certain that the employer's social responsibility is directly related to the growth of labour productivity, and the fact that the plant has once again featured among the leaders in the metallurgy sector of the Forbes rating underlines the relevance of our approach."

The Company cooperates with its Corporate Training Centre "Personnel", as well as leading Russian and foreign educational centres, and organises annual professional competitions for employees and scientific and technical conferences to share experience and improve skills. In addition, MMK has developed programmes to train its management talent pool from the level of foreman to top manager.

Forbes has been publishing its ranking of Russia's best employers since 2019. This year's list includes 104 companies. Particular attention was paid to sustainability practices (ESG), as well as the quality of human resources and social responsibility towards employees when assessing a company's attractiveness as an employer. The experts rated the participating companies according to 18 main metrics grouped in the blocks of "employees and society", "corporate governance" and "environment". Depending on the results, companies were divided into four categories: platinum, gold, silver and bronze. In 2021, gold was the highest rating received by any of the mining and metallurgical companies in the rating.
