Entrepreneur, 53, from Sibu, Sarawak Drives Home MAGGI’s Jom Masak & Menang Bersama Grand Prize

Kuching, 30 November, 2021 - The ‘MAGGI Jom Masak & Menang Bersama’ came to an exciting close as 53-year-old Tang Hung King from Sibu, Sarawak drove home MAGGI’s Jom Masak & Menang Bersama Grand Prize of Mitsubishi Triton (VGT AT 2.4l MIVEC) 4WD.

Tang, an entrepreneur who transports goods to rural areas, first took part in the contest in 2019. Although Tang was sceptical at first, after watching her clients take part in the competition, she decided to give the contest a try too.

Tang, who was using an MPV to transport goods to rural areas said: “It feels incredible and seems impossible at the beginning. “I really couldn’t believe that I won the grand prize!  And she continues; “I am grateful and very happy to have won, as the Mitsubishi Triton will be very useful for commuting into the rural areas, and I will be able to carry more goods now."

For Tang, whose journey through the rural areas includes crossing ferries and various type of terrain, she remarked that MAGGI products were always a must-have to deliver to her customers.

“Just like the tagline, it’s fast to cook, good to eat, and it’s so easy to get creative with the noodle-dish and add more ingredients to turn it into a balanced meal.”

The MAGGI brand holds a special place in Sarawakian kitchens over many generations and it was important to keep up the spirit of community and resilience during such challenging times.

MAGGI Jom Masak & Menang Bersama 2021 held from 1 May to 30 Jun 2021 across Sarawak managed to garner over 330,213 entries, a whopping increase of 149% from 2019!

“We really appreciate the support and enthusiasm from our consumers to our MAGGI Jom Masak & Menang Bersama contest this year, after a year’s gap in 2020, and we look forward to making the next edition even bigger and better,” says Geetha.

Besides the Grand Prize, this year’s Jom Masak & Menang Bersama entrants also stood a chance to win cash prizes worth RM2,000, and a Tefal wok (24cm) worth RM169 during its weekly giveaways throughout the contest period.
