Madrid, 27 July 2022. A large multinational company, leader in its sector, has signed a lease for 5,200 sqm in the new office project Puerto Somport 21-23, in Las Tablas, Madrid, where it will relocate its new corporate headquarters in Spain.

Puerto Somport 21-23 is the first office building developed by Tishman Speyer and Metrovacesa in Madrid, through the joint venture created by both companies in 2018. Designed by architects KPF and BOD, the building features 20,000 sqm of Grade-A office space, with green areas and premium amenities, promoting well-being, efficiency and flexibility. The property is LEED-platinum certified and is currently in the process of WELL certification, as well as offering creative mobility, innovation and hospitality solutions.

“We are very pleased to welcome a large multinational company as our first client in the Puerto Somport 21-23 project. This confirms the attractiveness of the Las Tablas area for companies and their growing interest – especially after the pandemic – for A-grade offices, which offer their employees high quality spaces with the best international technical standards and ESG commitments,” said Philippe Heulin, Managing Director at Tishman Speyer.

Enrique Gracia, Director of Tertiary at Metrovacesa, highlighted that “this agreement is a step forward in our strategy to enhance the value of our tertiary asset portfolio and demonstrates Metrovacesa’s ability to develop differentiated projects with high added value”. Metrovacesa currently has one of the best tertiary land portfolios in Spain, with a GAV of more than ¤600 million, mainly in Madrid and Barcelona, representing 23% of the developer’s total asset portfolio.

For this transaction, Tishman Speyer and Metrovacesa have been advised by CBRE and Uría Menéndez.
