Megan Schoettmer

SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 9, 2022 – PNC Bank today announced the appointment of financial services veteran and Silicon Valley native Megan Schoettmer as regional president for Northern California. The appointment marks PNC’s continued expansion in the Golden State, including earlier announced regional presidents in Greater Los Angeles, Orange County/Inland Empire and San Diego.

As PNC’s first regional president in Northern California, Schoettmer is responsible for deploying the bank’s Main Street model, leveraging PNC’s market-leading products and services, and leading PNC’s efforts in the local communities.

“Megan’s appointment in Northern California reflects our continued commitment to our Main Street Model, through which we equip our leaders to make decisions based on the unique needs of our clients and the communities in which we live and work,” said PNC Office of the Regional Presidents Territory Executive for the West Laura MacNeil. “We are confident that Megan’s extensive experience in financial services and unwavering commitment to community involvement will help meet the needs of our clients and fuel our growth in Northern California.”

Schoettmer will have direct oversight for business development, building and maintaining client relationships and leading philanthropic initiatives in support of communities in Northern California. Schoettmer’s role builds on PNC’s existing presence in Northern California, including corporate banking, commercial banking, retail, business credit, commercial real estate, mortgage, and organizational financial wellness with institutional asset management and private banking coming soon.

Schoettmer brings nearly two decades of experience to PNC Bank. She also worked for two Silicon Valley-founded banks. She earned her Bachelor of Science in business administration from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and her Master of Business Administration from Santa Clara University.

As a native, Schoettmer prioritizes community involvement and is an active participant in the region.
