Acron Group’s Kubris Declared Kuban’s Top Rice Grower

Krasnodar-based Kubris, which is part of Acron Group’s Plodorodie Agribusiness Holding, once again posted the Kuban region’s top rice yield.

Krasnodar Krai’s top-performing agricultural companies and workers were recognised at the regional administration office. Krasnodar Krai governor Veniamin Kondratyev presented Kubris’ Executive Director Vladimir Emgrunt with a first-degree diploma for the highest average rice yield in the region (7.6 tonnes per hectare). In comparison, the average rice yield in Russia in 2021 was 6.35 tonnes per hectare.

Kubris also produced one of the highest yields of winter wheat (6.08 tonnes per hectare) in the Krasnoarmeysky district of Krasnodar Krai, where the average winter wheat yield is 5.78 tonnes per hectare. In 2021, Krasnodar Krai harvested a record 15.5 million tonnes of grain.

Kubris’ Emgrunt pointed out that the Company’s excellent performance was achieved despite severe weather conditions. ‘Over 32,000 tonnes of grain and legumes were harvested from 5,560 hectares of arable land. These results were possible due to the use of advanced agricultural technologies and state-of-the-art equipment, the application of Russian selective breeding achievements and properly selected mineral nutrition based on Acron Group’s fertilisers, and, of course, due to the coordinated and responsible performance of our employees’.

Acron Group established Plodorodie Agribusiness Holding in 2008 to implement agricultural projects. With 5,560 hectares of land assets, Kubris specialises in the production of winter wheat, rice, soy, and winter rape. The Company owns storage facilities with capacity for 25,000 tonnes of products.
